We are Denise & Mike Pick, working together from our home studio in Suffolk.
Andrea Beun Couture is a small business with a personal service. We create beautiful, elegant wedding dresses and ensembles that are inspired by vintage fashion eras of the past and also incorporating current features and trends.
DENISE
Having being a seamstress for many years, I felt that the time was right to share my passion with others and to work on a commercial basis. I have the practical skills and experience to produce dresses of distinction that many brides will be proud to wear. I also have qualifications and many years of experience in the business sector.
My main role is in the design, fitting and construction of our wedding dresses and corsetry/corseted ensembles. Contact with customers, a contributor to our blog and the administration of the business are other things that I get involved in.
Our continental sounding name is borrowed from my mum Andrea, a lovely Belgian lady, who sadly is no longer around but who’s name will live on.
MIKE
Mike’s enthusiasm for vintage styling and his specialism and skills in the construction and design of the garments are a valuable asset to our business. In addition, he can often be found sewing a seam or two and is involved in the cutting process, construction of corsets and all of the photography. Mike also spends a lot of effort researching and compiling articles for our blog.
In fact, we both wear a few hats, often the case in small businesses!
