Vintage Wedding Fair – Norwich Saturday 11th February
Although we were unable to display our stand at this show run by the Most Curious team, we did join in with one of the two fashion shows.

New Dress Design
We have been busy beavering away on our new design, which is a response to what some of our brides have been requesting. We always like to show works in progress as a taster of things to come, so here’s a photo of the dress to give you an idea.

We will be showing our dresses, corsets and accessories at this great fair put on by The Vintage Wedding Fair, our second time at this venue. This is a chance to see the style and quality of our work and also to have a chat with us about your dream dress.
Vintage Wedding Fair Harrogate – Sunday 18th September
The last show at Harrogate was a great success, with a wide range of exhibitors showing everything to make your vintage themed wedding a success. Be sure to visit us at the new show, where you will see some of our new 50′s sample dresses. Further details can be found on the link below.
Cover Up!
The 50′s short dress still seems to be the most popular style and we will be introducing something a little different. Sleeves and coverage above the bustline are both definitely making a comeback, both solid and semi transparent. Matching hem extensions and sashes can compliment these features and are also proving popular. Come and see our stand, look closely at our work, or just have a chat with us if you would like some advice. We won’t bite or do a sales job on you, so see you there!

50′s Customised Dress
Our short silk 50′s dress is proving the most popular design at the moment. It does not have to be made in silk, however, and like this example had additions requested by the bride, together with some changes suggested by us. Here shown on the model, (that never does justice to our dresses!) Additions included spot tulle / organza sleeves and decolletage, with a matching hem detail. Josie provided the vintage buckle for the belt and promises some proper photos of the event soon.
Vintage Wedding Show, The Assembly, Leamington Spa,
We were pleased to meet lots of vintage enthusiasts and traders at this wonderful venue, situated in the heart of the midlands countryside. The first of its kind in the area, the turnout could have been better, but a fantastic sunny day might have given potential attendees other ideas. Accessories, vintage dresses, catering, photography and entertainment were all covered, confirming the most popular era, the 50′s and an increase in 1940′s interest.
The Polka Dot Dolls
Three delightful girl singers, the Polka Dot Dolls dressed the part and took us back to the war years, with renditions of classics from the swing bands.
Vintage Wedding Show Harrogate
We had a very busy and fruitful time at the St George’s Hotel on Sunday and more important met lots of nice people, whether potential customers or fellow “traders.” The stands were diverse and interesting, from cupcakes, stationery to jewelry, to “real” vintage dresses. The only thing that kept many of the vintage dresses from being bought was the sizing, which seems to be the main problem for most wearers. As I have said in other posts, girls get bigger every day

We will be displaying at the above show, being held at the St George Hotel, 1 Ripon Road, Harrogate, HG1 2SY. Located in central Harrogate just opposite the International Exhibition centre and organised by Discover Vintage.
Kent Wedding Fair, February 2011
We felt that the time had come to spread our wings a little and so on Sunday 6th February, we exhibited at a wedding fair at the Kent Showground near Detling, run by Tina Green of The Wedding Experience . We found the wedding fair to be very well organised, with a large number of exhibitors and a good atmosphere (brides take note!). As exhibitors, we were well catered for with offers of help to unload our vehicle, to man our stand for short sessions and even provided with vouchers for lunch and refreshments, which for us was a first! We would like to extend our thanks and best wishes to Tina and her staff for a great exhibition and for a job well done!
