40′s slinky wedding dress from Vogue Pattern

It is a rare occasion when I actually make something for myself and this dress from the Vogue vintage pattern range took my eye a long while ago. Shown here in blue crepe silk at our photoshoot, I just had to show it, even though it was actually far to big for the model.

The padded shoulders and reverse panels are typical of the 40′s era and would make an excellent wedding dress in ivory.
